Hello Everyone,
We have started a new Poll at JattWorld asking our visitors their opinions about what causes Human Divisions and Conflicts.
Over the time since we have started JattWorld various opinions have come up as to what causes Human suffering.
Some say it's the division among Race, Caste and Tribe that causes divisions. While others say it's the divisions created by Religions that makes us fight such as the one seen during Post Independence Punjab Partition where Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs massacred each other on religious grounds.
While there are still others who think it's National groupings that are dangerous and cause wars and conflicts.
The spiritual one's insist it's all of the above whereas the deeper mystical types say hatred is simply in our minds and that Humans simply use Religions, Race, Tribe, Caste etc as an excuse.
And let's not forget those geniuses who insist that only Jatts cause conflicts otherwise there have never been any instance of hatred and conflicts among Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs etc :)
So we are asking for your opinions on this grand Poll just started.
Below is the link to the Poll

In terms of race and religion....
1. One cannot change his/her race, and one has to accept that he/she is the
2. Religion is basically a belief, and beliefs are of the soul or mind, not the body...therefore religion should be considered personal rather than political..., unfortunately some people are stubbornly fixed into considering religion as their physical/racial/ethnic identity, which is stupid and irrational....
people use religion as their identity for two reasons:
1... to gain political power (i.e. gain votes for people who consider religion over race/ethnicity/nationalism/language/political ideology or philosophy) , a prime example of this would be the the infamous Parkash Singh Badal.
2...those who have no pride in their ancestors or race often hide behind the veils of religious identity, it does get more complicated than that: (i.e. its to note that though Hindu Kathris take pride in being Hindu's and descendants of the Aryan Kshatriyas whom defend the Aryan Hindu dharma, the Muslim converts often hide behind the veils of the title "sheikh", and only disclose their gotra upon marriage proposals...when compared to the Jats and Gujars, whom are genuinely proud of their race regardless of which religion appealed to their forefathers, as they have a culture of belonging to a race of independent clans of cultivators and warrior bandits without the need of any religious identity.
3...brainwashed people, influenced by fanatic and extremist (sometimes even moderate) interpretations of religion can have such an effect on an individual that he/she will forget about her actual real biological history and ancestors, but would substitute that for a false belief that he/she belongs to a group/"clan" of "superior/righteous" people.
However, adding to my previous post, I would like to point out that it is up to an individual to fit in to where he/she belongs..., by common ethnic, cultural, linguistic or historical means...to create harmony. Sometimes ethnic success is due to harmony and respect rather than direct martial conflict (unlike back in Hun/Mongol/Saka times, where it was take the women of the opposing ethnicity/race and create children).
therefore I vote for "None of the above - It's individual minds that create conflicts and hatred."
TurleWaalaChaudhry, I think you need to rethink your selection. The correct choice should be "Only Jatts create conflicts". You see there has never been Inter-Religious conflict. Punjab has been the perfect example where Religions have co-existed since ancient times and Religions have never created conflicts among Humans.
At least that's the lecture I have been receiving since the last 9 Years or so :)
Religions create most of the conflicts.
In punjab, sometimes it's hindu v/s sikh. sometimes in the past it was muslims v/s sikhs v/s hindus.
Now lots of religious deras are mushrooming who, thinking it as an ideal opportunity for business, are further causing a split as if the previous split that religions had caused was not enough.
Religions are poison.
