Scythians are said to be the ancestors of modern day Jatt people. Looking at the following link from The Lost Civilizations website the following quote is worth noting:
Many of the Scythians had full body tattoos with extremely intricate tribal designs, depicting both real and imaginary beasts as well as events from their mythology. Looking like the forerunners of modern-day Hell's Angels, the fierce appearance of the Scythian nomads had a formidably terrifying effect on the people whose lands they invaded.
No wonder they were the Jatt Forefathers. Reminds me of days when Jatts used to go to a Mela (fair) to get a Tatoo done on their Thigh (Patt Te Morni). This trend was especially common among the Kabaddi Players. Usually the design chosen was that of a Snake. Morni was common too. Anyone else remembers this? Is it still common?
